Prof. Juliette Legler is Professor of Toxicology and heads the Department of Population Health Sciences at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UU, where she also leads the Division of Toxicology at IRAS. She is honorary professor at Brunel University London. Prof. Legler is a European Registered Toxicologist and President of the Netherlands Society of Toxicology. Since January 2019, she coordinates the 5-year EU H2020 GOLIATH project (Generation of Novel, Integrated and Internationally Harmonized Approaches for Testing Metabolism Disrupting Compounds). From 2019-2020, she was co-coordinator of the ‘European Cluster to Improve Identification of Endocrine Disruptors’ (EURION), a cluster of eight research projects on testing strategies for endocrine disruptors in Europe. She coordinated the ZonMW project ‘Small plastic particles in the human fetal environment’ from 2019-2020 and currently coordinates the 3-year ZonMw/Health~Holland project “Microplastics and Human Health Consortium’ (MOMENTUM), a large public-private partnership project on human exposure and health effects of MNPs.
