Dr. Jane Muncke has been the managing director and chief scientific officer at the Food Packaging Forum since 2012. She is trained as an environmental toxicologist (PhD) and environmental scientist (MSc) and has a background in academic research (analytical chemistry, aquatic sciences, ecotoxicology), as well as expertise on chemicals in food contact materials and plastics. She has participated in an EU-funded project under the COST action and in several large, inter- and transdisciplinary research projects with international partners. Through these, she has gained hands-on experience in project management and as project leader. She also has extensive experience in science communication and in systematic mapping, and she teaches workshops on effective live presentation for scientists at all career stages.
