Zenghui Ma is a PhD candidate in the Centre for Environmental Sciences at Hasselt University. She is currently working on epidemiological investigations on potential effects of Micro- and nanoplastics (MNPs) during pregnancy and early life. She obtained her medical bachelor’s and master’s degree in China and her master degree in statistics and data science in KU Leuven (Belgium). Her master’s thesis investigated the association between high-dimensional urinary peptide profiles and bone mineral density in children, and evaluated the potential of urinary peptide profiles-based models for bone mineral density prediction.
